Springfield Dispensary’s Patient Base Continues to Grow

It’s been two years since HCI Alternatives opened in Springfield. At first, they were assisting only about 20 patients, but now they’re serving about 800 patients in total.

Many patients at HCI are choosing medical marijuana over opioids, according to WAND 17 News. HCI is also a leader in studying medical marijuana’s health benefits and advocating for access.

McCloud said, “This is really about access and it’s about choice. That’s what’s being debated at the state house (and) in the courts. Why can’t I have access? Why can’t I have a choice about how I manage my pain on a daily basis?”
