In June, medical marijuana sales in Illinois totaled $2.57 million. This grew from $2.3 million in May 2016.
There are roughly 7,600 medical marijuana patients in Illinois that are serviced by 39 statewide dispensaries.
Two new qualifying conditions were added, CBS Local St. Louis says, which are PTSD and terminal illnesses. Sales totals since the program’s start in November 2015 are reported to be $13.8 million. This is a good start for a relatively restrictive medical marijuana program.
New application forms and rules are being integrated for the new conditions as well.
